Breaking news from HarvestFest Chair Debbie Washburn: The results have been tallied and HarvestFest 2009 at Ivy Chapel was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who donated their time to make it a fun evening… to everyone who donated items for the auctions… and of course to everyone who came to the event and gave so generously to support Circle of Concern and Joint Neighborhood Ministry. We had a great turnout, and the bidding was busy. Please send any suggestions for the next HF (in 2011) to Deb Washburn.
Watch this space for more thank yous and, by request — recipes from the great food served at the event.

Thanks to Ivy’s own Paul Hertenstein, who will be playing the piano during the silent auction.
Marsha and Carl Ramey have arranged for Wines of Wildwood to serve the wine. Be sure to visit their website or stop by their store at 2418 Taylor in Dierbergs Town Center, Wildwood. Their phone number is 636-405-0800.
And Gail Thoele has arranged for Coldwell Banker Gundaker Realtors to print the programs.

On Feb. 21, Ivy Chapel hosted its second Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser. We served a large crowd, which included both members of the congregation and residents of the wider community. The great turnout made it one of Ivy’s most successful fundraisers ever, bringing in $2798.80. The money will be used to further Ivy’s mission, supporting our outreach efforts. Many volunteers from the church worked to make the fundraiser of a success, including donating pasta, baking desserts and volunteering elbow grease. Thank you to all who pitched in – and thank you to members of the community for your generosity.
