Prayers of Joy and Gratitude

~ Prayers of thanksgiving – Betty Lindhorst is out of the hospital and doing well. (2/22)

~ Prayers of thanksgiving – Laverne Schmidt (mother of S. Wilson) received encouraging results from Feb. 21 heart cath. (2/22)

~ Thanks be to God John A. (Ross House) is out of the hospital and was able to share in worship! We are grateful for God’s healing. (2/26)

~ May God faithfully guide God’s people during the 2012 Lenten Season which began on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22.

~ Thanks and praise to God for the continuing recovery of Carolyn Wolff. (2/10)

~ Laura Mignerone received and accepted God’s call to serve as pastor and teacher of Zion United Church of Christ in Troy, Missouri. Laura has been serving Zion UCC since Nov. 2011. The date for her formal “Installation” has been set. Laura will be installed at Zion UCC on Sun., April 29 at 3 PM. All are welcome. (2/26)

~ Praise God for the safe return home of PFC Kalen Leavitt (grandson of Ron and Marsha Fix) after a year in Iraq. (9/18)

God is still speaking…

Jesus said to them, “If God were your God, you would love me, for I came from God and now I am. I did not come on my own, but God sent me. Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot accept my word. You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me? Whoever is from God hears the words of God.
